Pregnancy, Birth, and Beyond: The Full Spectrum of Support at District Birth

More Than a Doula—A Full, Elevated Experience

Pregnancy isn’t just about growing a baby. It’s about navigating big emotions, making informed choices, and building a support system that truly sees you. It’s about feeling empowered in your decisions, confident in your care team, and held through every part of the experience—from the first positive test to the early postpartum days (those are just as important!!)

At District Birth, I do things differently. I don’t just show up at your birth—I’m here to help you feel educated, supported, and grounded every step of the way. Whether you’re looking for guidance in pregnancy, hands-on birth support, or reassurance in postpartum, I create a tailored, high-touch experience that helps you move through this journey with confidence, calm, and clarity.

What Working with District Birth Looks Like

Setting the Foundation (Birth & Beyond Planning Sessions)

If you’ve ever felt like there’s too much information and not enough clarity, you’re not alone. The internet is full of contradictory advice, and hospitals often focus more on their protocols than your unique experience.

That’s why I created Birth & Beyond Planning Sessions—a 90-minute deep dive (held virtually or in person in the DMV) that cuts through the noise and helps you:

✔️ Map out your birth preferences in a way that’s flexible and realistic
✔️ Understand medical interventions—when they’re helpful and when you have choices
✔️ Learn comfort measures & coping techniques tailored to your body and preferences
✔️ Prepare for postpartum so you’re not left scrambling after birth
✔️ Get direct referrals to specialists if you need extra support (chiropractic, lactation, etc.)

This isn’t a standard birth class—it’s a personalized strategy session that helps you feel prepared, calm, and in control.

Labor & Birth Support (Because You Deserve Someone Fully Focused on You)

Birth can be unpredictable, but having the right support makes all the difference. My role as a doula isn’t just to show up when contractions start—it’s to guide you, support you, and help you navigate every stage of labor with confidence.

🤍 What’s included in my birth doula support?

✔️Consistent support throughout your pregnancy and 6 weeks postpartum

✔️ Comprehensive prenatal sessions to prepare you for your birth

✔️ Engaging educational resources and curated exclusive client guides

✔️ Continuous in-person support during labor (up to 18 hours)
✔️ Guidance for your birth partner so they feel prepared, not panicked
✔️ Hands-on comfort techniques (movement, breathwork, positional support, yogic movement, etc.)
✔️ Reassurance & advocacy so you can make informed choices
✔️ A calming, supportive presence no matter how your birth unfolds

I work alongside midwives, OB-GYNs, and birth center teams to create a smooth, connected birth experience. You deserve a birth team that listens to you, respects your choices, and helps you feel safe.

Childbirth Education (Because Knowledge is Power, Period.)

So many parents say, “I wish I had known this before birth.” Let’s make sure that’s not you.

My childbirth education courses are designed to help you feel prepared—not overwhelmed. Whether you’re birthing at home, a birth center, or a hospital, my courses help you:

✔️ Understand labor signs & stages so you know what’s happening in your body
✔️ Learn effective pain management options (both medicated and unmedicated)
✔️ Prepare your birth partner so they can be a confident, helpful support
✔️ Navigate provider conversations and advocate for what’s best for you
✔️ Get ready for postpartum—because birth is just the beginning

Postpartum isn’t just something to ‘get through’—it’s a time to be supported, cared for, and given the space to heal.

The District Birth Difference

What sets District Birth apart? I don’t just offer services—I offer a full experience that makes you feel seen, supported, and cared for every step of the way.

🤍 My approach is built on:
✔️ Deep knowledge & evidence-based care (so you feel informed and empowered)
✔️ Personalized, one-on-one support (because birth isn’t one-size-fits-all)
✔️ Seamless connections to local experts (chiropractors, lactation consultants, pelvic floor therapists, mental health professionals, and more)
✔️ A true investment in your experience—because birth and postpartum deserve better care.

Birth isn’t just about the baby—it’s about you. Your experience matters. How you feel matters. And I’m here to make sure you feel strong, prepared, and completely supported from pregnancy through postpartum.
